Revision 2021 online is over and people from all over Europe and elsewhere assembled to show the world that the retro computer scene still matters! On Saturday third of April 2021, 15 entries fought in the tracker competition. And in this podcast, we will play them all! Let’s listen to the 15 contestants from the tracker competition from revision. We’ll start from the bottom and work until we reach the gold of first place. Explicit warning. First up: Defiance, a Swedish demo group. Number 15.01:09 Slaze of Defiance – Recharge04:35 Traktor – a mostly Swedish demo group with at least one Finnish member. Number 14 – Esau of Traktor – 003.04:57 Esau of Traktor – 00308:44 Void, which features members from a number of countries like Sweden, United states, Norway, Switzerland, Poland and Finland. Number 13.09:05 Assassin of Void – hugging-tightnasty11:22 DJ Daemon speaks: Byterapers is a mostly Finnish group with some Swedish and Norwegian members. Its earliest incarnation is from 1986. Number 12.11:38 Roz – Motional14:42 DJ Daemon speaks: Software Failure hails from Spain and the features the composer, Josss whose real name i Jose Manuel Perez. Number 11.14:55 JosSs of Software Failure – Distortion17:57 DJ Daemon speaks: Depth may be a former demo group, but it hasn’t stopped its founder Curt Cool from release nice stuff to the demo world. Its members are mostly from Denmark. He’s also a member of Nah-Kolor a Polish group. The text from the instrument list states that “agent Paula steals amigas from the hoarders and gives them to poor people in need.” Number 10.18:30 Curt Cool of Depth Nah-Kolor – Agent Paula21:00 DJ Daemon speaks: Triace, is obviously a part of the “Amiga Birthday comittee” and the groups Desire, Retroguru and iNSANE. Number 9.21:37 Triace of DSRINS – 12 bars – all closed24:50 DJ Daemon speaks: Desire was originally a Dutch-based Amiga demogroup and came back to life in 2011. Number 8.25:10 CS-Jay of Desire Persuasive Music – 25 years later28:29 DJ Daemon speaks: JCO from Germany has a number of memberships in demo groups under his belt, which is a fitting way of saying it as the his song is called “Suck my dick”. The vocals seems to parody Michael Jacksson. Number 7 – JCO – yeah, I already told you the name of the song.28:50 JCO – Suck My Dick31:46 DJ Daemon speaks: From Poland comes e!ghtbm. Ephidrena is a Norwegian demo group, but I cannot find any information if the song is dedicated to them. There is also a band that released a song called “Tales of Ephidrena”. Everything has an explanation, but for me, this is a mystery. Number 6.32:09 E!ghtbm – Ephidrena memories35:30 DJ Daemon speaks: Saga Musix, or Johannes Schultz is a German tracker musician with membership in a lot of demo groups. Number 5.35:48 Saga Musix of Nuance St. Vincent And The Grenadines Wursthupe – Gleaming39:45 DJ Daemon speaks: Swiss artist Comatron, known to his friend as Patrick Naumann. He has no relation to my microphone, but a membership in the groups tlu and BitBendaz. Number 4.40:02 Comatron – D4wn43:00 DJ Daemon speaks: Kaaosradio is a Finnish group consisting of two members, Laamaa and Raztaman. Slimey and Virgill goes for gold, but ends up with the silver medal for their song The Codewizard.
